The logo is used on Australian beef, veal, lamb and goatmeat that is fit for human consumption and is sourced entirely from livestock raised and slaughtered in Australia.
Companies that wish to use the Aussie Beef, Lamb & Goat logo, either alone or in association with their eligible Australian red meat product, must apply for a Aussie Beef, Lamb & Goat licence.
Companies may be either:
Aussie Beef, Lamb & Goat licences will be valid for a period of 12 months (unless terminated earlier) from the date of approval. MLA will review and renew the licence annually. Throughout the period of the licence, it is the responsibility of the licensee to ensure that all licence information is maintained. This can be actioned via the online self-managed system
Applicants who prefer to execute a hard copy of the Licence Agreement must still complete the online application form and submit it for review. On approval, print and sign your Aussie Beef, Lamb & Goat trade mark Licence Agreement (containing the completed application form and the Terms and Conditions) and send through to brandlicensing@mla.com.au requesting manual execution. MLA representatives within countries can assist you with this process where required.
Not all versions of the Aussie Beef, Lamb & Goat logos are registered as trade marks in all jurisdictions where they are used. In jurisdictions where the Aussie Beef, Lamb & Goat logos are not registered, MLA licenses the copyright in the Aussie Beef, Lamb & Goat logos.
